Rules of the 12 tenses


          Structures of 12 Tenses
           Present Indefinite / Present Simple

Ø Structure : Subject + V1 / V1 + s/es + object / Complement 3rd person singular number must be preceded by V1 +s/es
Ø Examples : We/I eat vegetables.
                     He/she/( particular name) eats vegetables


                                              Present Continuous
ü  Structure :  Subject + am/is/are + V1 + ing+ object / Complement
ü  Examples : We are eating vegetables.
                     He/she/( particular name) is eating vegetables.

                         Present Perfect
v  Structure : Subject + have/has + V3 + object / Complement
v  Examples : They have been playing football since morning.
                     He/she/( particular name) has been playing football since morning.

                                   Present Perfect Continuous
§  Structure : Subject + have been /has been + V1 + ing+ since/ for + object / Complement

·         Example : They have been playing football since morning.
                    He/she/( particular name) has been playing football since morning

                                   Past Indefinite / Past Simple
ü  Structure : Subject + V2 + object / Complement
·         Example : We ate vegetables.
                   He/she/( particular name) ate vegetables.
                                     Past Continuous
ü  Structure : Subject + was/were + V1 + ing+ object / Complement
ü  Example : We were eating vegetables.
                   He/she/ I ( particular name) was eating vegetables.

                                         Past Perfect
Ø  Structure : Subject + had + V3 + object / Complement
Ø  Example : We had eaten vegetables.
                                 He/she/( particular name) had  eaten vegetables

                      Past Perfect Continuous
v  Structure : Subject + had been + V1 + ing+ since/ for + object / Complement
v  Example : I/ he /she/they( particular name) has been playing football since morning.

                      Future Indefinite
Ø Structure : Subject + shall /will + V1+ object/Complement

Ø Example : We/I shall eat vegetables.
                 He/she /( particular name) will  eat vegetables.

                              Future Continuous
Ø  Structure : Subject + shall be /will be  + V1 + ing+ object / Complement
Ø  Example : I/ we shall be playing football tomorrow.
                  He / she / ( particular name ) will be playing tomorrow.

                Future Perfect
v  Structure : Subject + shall have / will have + V3 + object / Complement
v  Example : I/we  shall have walked.
                  He / she / (particular name) will have walked .
              
               Future Perfect Continuous


v  Structure : Subject + shall have been /will have been + V1 + ing+ since/ for + object / Complement
v  Example : I / we shall have been working at my / ours company for three years.
                   He / she / (particular name) will have been working his company for three years.
