Defer not till tomorrow what you
can do today
Amplification: Timely
action is very essential in our life, because it prevents a great loss. If we
take early steps, it will take lesser amount of labour and we will get success
easily. If we do not study our books much before examination, we will not be
able to pass. Similarly, if any small banyan tree grows in a building, we need
to uproot it immediately. Otherwise, it will destroy the building. If we do not
solve a problem in time, it will create a great disaster in future. Most people
are lazy. They put aside their necessary tasks for tomorrow. But time passes
away. We do not think that the golden hour of our life is passing away. At the
same time, we are losing opportunities. Benjamin Franklin says, "Never
leave till tomorrow what you can do today". If you have a small tear in
your clothes, you should mend it at once. If you do not do so, the tear will
get bigger and bigger. The job will take a longer time to finish. At one point
of time, the tear will be beyond repair. If a thing is not done in time, it
becomes complex. We have a lot of duties to do in the short span (n*T) of our
life. If we put aside our work, they will never be done in the future. Timely
action removes our mental burden and provides the opportunity to enjoy leisure.
So we should be prompt in action and avoid any necessary delay.
