Prize Giving Ceremony

The annual prize giving ceremony of our school was held on the 10th March amidst rejoicing and merry making. The day was a holiday. On this day we arranged the arena in a suitable way and decorated it very tastefully. We did this under the guidance of the Physical Instructor and some other teachers. Prizes were also neatly displayed on a separate table on the dais. Adequate seating arrangements were made for the spectators both male and female. All the students were present at the function. Among others, the guardians and some eminent persons of the locality attended the function. The D.C. of Dhaka was the chief guest. The function was started just on time at 4 pm with the recitation of the holy Quran. After that the Head teacher read out the annual report. Then the Chief Guest gave a short speech. He highly praised the overall performance of the school and its excellent JSC and SSC Exam results. Then he gave away the prizes among the students for their outstanding activities. All the successful competitor of each event got a trophy and a certificate.

My first day at school

My first day at school is one of those events which will remain ever fresh in my heart. I was then 6 years old. One day my mother told me that I was going to start my school the next day. I was very excited. I couldn’t think of anything else. Moreover, I was always thinking about the school, the teachers, and the students of the school. I couldn’t even sleep at night. The next morning my mother woke me up early in the morning. I had a bath and put on my best clothes. Having breakfast we started walking towards the school. After half an hour we reached the school.  I saw many students in the school campus. Some were playing and some were talking with each other. But I did not know any one of them. So, I got little nervous. My mother took me to the headmaster's room. He asked me some questions. As I answered to the questions proficiently, he became pleased. After that, he called in a teacher and sent me to my class with her. I got admitted myself to class one. The class teacher and the students received me heartily. Though I was little nervous, soon I became easy. I shall remember the day as long as I live.
