A Homemaker
Those who take care of
households for themselves and for the other people and by doing the work they
help their family/ earn their livelihood are called homemakers. Generally, they
may perform general housekeeping chores and personal services, or they may
assign them to other members of the household. Sometimes they employ people
outside the household to do these tasks. Every household is unique, and the
duties of each homemaker vary according to the ages, habits, needs, and incomes
of the people in the household. At the same rate they are responsible for
keeping homes clean and running smoothly. They decide what cleaning jobs need
to be done, and they arrange to have them completed. Cleaning tasks may include
sweeping, making beds, washing and waxing floors, vacuuming, and a wide variety
of other chores. Many homemakers also make sure that clothing and household
items are laundered, dry-cleaned, or mended when needed. In many cases, they
shop for food, clothing, and other household needs. Homemakers often plan,
cook, and serve many of the meals for their households. Sometimes they make
arrangements to have others cook meals in the home or to buy meals from outside
sources. Maintaining the household budget may be another responsibility of
homemakers. They may take care of bills, banking, tax filing, and other
financial matters. They often are responsible for day-to-day expenses, and they
sometimes do long-range financial planning for their households. With other
household members they make decisions about buying insurance, taking vacations,
getting loans, and other important matters. In fact, they play an important
role to make the family happy.

Contribution of Begum Roquia
Begum Roquia Sakhawat Hussain was a leading feminist writer and social worker in undivided Bengal during the early 20th century. She was born on 9th December 1880 In a renowned Muslim family in Rangpur District. She is most famous for her efforts on behalf of gender equality and other social issues. She established the first school aimed primarily at Muslim girls, which still exists today. She was a notable Muslim feminist. Begum Roquia was an inspiring figure who contributed
much to the struggle to liberate women from the bondage of social malaises. Her life can be seen in the context of other social reformers within what was then India. To raise popular consciousness, especially among women, she wrote a number of articles, stories and novels, mostly in Bengali. Begum Roquia wrote courageously against restrictions on women to promote their emancipation, which, she believed, would come about by breaking the gender division of labor. She rejected discrimination for women in the public arena and believed that discrimination would cease only when women were able to undertake whatever profession they chose. This great woman died on 9th December 1932.
A Good Teacher
By whom we are taught
is a teacher. A good teacher is the person who teaches his or her students
perfectly and instructively. He tries to pull out the hidden treasures from the
students. He makes himself ready for school in the very morning and reaches
school early. Sometimes he does official works and sometimes he teaches his
students in the class. The students feel very happy, proud, and need of a good teacher. A good teacher has some
special qualities. He is very dutiful, responsible, attentive, punctual, and
smart. Moreover a good teacher makes his
lessons attractive and easy to his students. He makes the dull students
understand their lessons in an easiest method. His service is very important
because he plays an active role to build up the nation. He teaches his students
morals and helps in building up their future by proper teachings. He is busy
with his works because he wants his students cut a good figure in the
examination. His only thought is to guide the students into a proper way. A
teacher not only has to take classes but also has to assess students’ test and
exam scripts outside the class. As a social worker he tries to do good to the
people of the society. He is very popular with his students because of his good
manner and attractive character. He develops the relationship with his students
as a father, a guide and a philosopher.
